College Credits
Every apprentice is enrolled with Pellissippi State Community College and receives 9 semester hours of college credit for each school year.
At the end of the 5 years a graduating apprentice will have 45 semester hours of college credit that can be applied toward a degree with Pellissippi.
The college tuition is paid by the ETAK program. There is no cost for the apprentice.
Approximately 150 students are currently enrolled through this post-apprenticeship program. The degree (credits) from Pellissippi can be
transferred to Middle Tennessee State University where one can pursue a 4-year (BA) degree in Electrical Construction Management.
The tuition post apprenticeship is not paid by our program.
After completion of Apprenticeship one can obtain 57 semester hours of “Recommended” credits with the American Council on Education (ACE).
There are some two-thousand colleges that accept some or all these credits depending on the degree one is seeking.
The apprentice graduate will pay $45 for these credits by completing a form through this ETAK Committee
Several former apprentices have completed a 2-year degree with Pellissippi and a few have earned a BA degree from MTSU.
Many have also requested the credits with the ACE. All this adds to one’s resume making it more impressive.
